My dear daughter,

The years are going by & I am getting older day by day and you

are a young woman with her own family. I know that there will be
a day that we will say goodbye forever and for this reason I am

writing to you these few words. They are my blessing and my legacy.
I recall the old times; they were full of joy and sorrow, of cherished
people, who came and left, of hope and anxiety, and all of them

together like a tangle. I can not unravel them. They belong to the
         past.

And by thinking of all these, I wonder what the most important
thing is. What is the most important thing that I would advise you
to pursue in order to have a meaningful life?

My child, only one thing comes to my mind. The bridges. Not the ones
that people make to cross rivers, but the others that are built to
bond people with each other, through patience and love day by day,

through kind words, through genuine smile, through hugs and
compassion. Those bridges make friendships stand strong in hard
times, stay tall over hatred and make us want to come closer to

each other, and win over fear, desperation and loneliness.
I have nothing more to say, my child. Keep this letter along with my

         blessing.

         With everlasting love,

         Your father
